We formed a strong committee who were all committed and determined to make a difference to our association.  After few meetings, the GAQ committee formed a mission statement as shown above and we endeavored to up hold this statement at each and every GAQ function.  Note without a committee there will be no functions so please read the attached document and take positive action.  Join the committee and make a difference.  Many hands make lighter work
GAQ encourages each and everyone to support all events and at the same time appeal to everyone who is not a current member to do so in earnest.

I choose not to take up the Presidency in 2004, as I had realised that we needed some form of continuity and succession planning was required.  It was a shame that whole committee stood down and I am determined that it will not happen again.  How can our association improve if our members are not willing to participate? It appears to me that GAQ members have lost their community sprit.  History has shown us that all we are interested in is the Navratri and few other events.  I would like ask everyone in our community to do a self appraisal and ask the following questions?

1. What have I contributed to our community?
2. Why am I reluctant to join GAQ committee?
3. Can I make a difference?
